Account data
E-mail address, display name, country of residence, phone number for trial checks, and your language, time zone and currency settings.
Trading account access
Broker, server and account number, and the investor (read-only) or master password you provide. Passwords are stored encrypted with separate key management and are not shown in the product after you enter them.
Trading data
Trades, orders, balance, equity and history read from connected accounts, and the contents of statements you upload for analysis.
Content
Ideas, posts, comments, watchlists, alerts and copy settings.
Usage data
Pages and features used, device and browser type, IP address and the approximate location derived from it, and error logs.

Why we use it

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your trading data for advertising.

  • To run the service: charts, analysis reports, profiles, alerts and notifications.
  • To read connected accounts and execute copies according to your settings.
  • To compute proof badges, hit rates, rankings and simulations as described in the Methodology.
  • To show the features and partner brokers available in your country of residence, and to check trial eligibility.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent fake accounts and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
  • To measure and improve the product.

Analytics, cookies and session recordings

SocialCharts analyzes page use, clicks and errors on its own servers. We use no third-party trackers or advertising pixels. Our analytics tools do not collect form inputs; email addresses and numbers in event labels are masked before storage.

If you allow analytics, some visits may be saved as session recordings to help us understand usage issues. Page structure and pointer movements are recorded, with form inputs masked. The chart image is not recorded; chart interactions can be reconstructed from event records. Only our team can view recordings. Recordings are kept for 30 days and event data for 180 days; afterwards only daily totals remain.

sc_session
Keeps you signed in. Deleted when you sign out or the session expires.
sc_csrf
Protects forms and buttons against forged requests from other sites.
analytics_consent
Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, for one year.
Preferences in your browser
Theme, language and similar choices are stored in your browser and never sent to us as personal data.

To choose again, clear the analytics_consent cookie and the preference banner will reappear. Declining does not restrict product features.

How long we keep it

Account, trading and content data are kept while your account is open. The password for a trading account is deleted when you disconnect that account. Usage and security logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated.

Disconnect and delete

You can disconnect a single trading account or delete your whole SocialCharts account from Settings.

  • Disconnecting an account stops reading and copying it and deletes its stored password.
  • Deleting your SocialCharts account closes it first. For 30 days you can restore it by signing in.
  • After 30 days, your personal data is deleted or anonymised. The audit log keeps only a record that the deletion took place.

Anonymised proof records

Proof records, meaning sealed ideas and their outcomes, the trading history behind a public profile, and anonymous copy totals, are part of other users’ rankings and comparisons. When an account is deleted these records remain, anonymised and shown as “deleted user”, without your name, e-mail address or account identifiers.

Who we share it with

Partner brokers
If you open or move an account with a partner broker through SocialCharts, we share what is needed to attribute the referral, such as a referral code and the account number.
Your broker
Account reads and copied orders go to the broker that holds the account you connected.
E-mail provider
Sends account, security and notification e-mails on our behalf.
Hosting and AI providers
Host the service and process content to produce summaries, translations and Coach answers. They act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes.

We also disclose data when the law requires it.

International transfers

SocialCharts serves users in several countries, and our providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and the providers’ security commitments.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent you have given. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Most of this is available in Settings. For anything else, write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
